MAWA is more of a programming space than an exhibition space. However, we regularly showcase mentees' work at our 611 Main Street location, and occasionally mount exhibitions. See below for upcoming shows!

Rural FMP Showcase
Sunday September 27, 2009, 2 pm at MAWA

Foundation and Rural & Remote Mentorship groups at Manitoba Printmakers Association, April 2009

Come and celebrate the accomplishments of Susana Danyliuk, Annette Henderson Rose Negrych, and Eleanore Johnson who were mentored by Pauline Braun and Jazz de Montigny in our six-month trial Rural and Remote Mentorship program. This showcase will feature two works by each woman and will run until October 6, 2009.

MAWA sends a special thank you to Jean Armstrong at the Portage and District Art Centre in Portage la Prairie for hosting our Rural and Remote Program meetings.

 

FMP Showcase
Friday October 9, 2009, 7 pm at MAWA

The 2008/2009 Foundation Mentorship Program concludes with a showcase featuring a video testimonial from each mentee about what they gained from the program as well as books that they made to commemorate their mentorship year. New bookworks by Jacquelyne Hebert, Jeanette Johns, Nora Kobrinsky, Whitney Light, Margerit Roger, Becky Theissen, Eryn Thorey Mackenzie, and Niki Trosky will be on display until October 20, 2009. These artists were mentored by KC Adams, Bonnie Marin, Mary Reid, Dominique Rey and Lisa Wood. Please join us in congratulating everyone who took part in the past year’s FMP on the evening of Friday,October 9th!
